I received my PMP certification in June 1995 and I have accumulated points for augmentation of experience and for being a PMI member, PMI Chapter sponsor and founding member, and PMI Chapter member in accordance with Tables 2 and 3 of the 100 point system. I also accumulated points in these two categories under the 1000 point system, effective January 1997. In your letter of 25 May 1999, your instruction was to compute each point accumulated under the previous "100 point" system as equivalent to one PDU, and to estimate the PDU value of previous activities under the 1000 point system by multiplying the points by 0.2. When I do this, I get in excess of 60 points for my activities in the two categories up to the end of 1998. For these activities, I plan to claim the maximum 45 PDUs from the previous systems as "Previous Point System Credit", Category Type "4" on the PMP Activity Report. Is this correct?
